Sweet Potato & Carrot Crackers

Age range:  Suitable from 6 months

Yield:  30 small crackers

Storage:  Not suitable for freezing but will last 3-5 days if stored in an air tight container!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup plain flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt (optional)

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 Little Freddie Sweet Potato & Carrot Yoghurt Pouch

1.5 tbsp olive oil

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
  2. Add your flour, baking powder, salt, dried thyme, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika to a medium sized mixing bowl and stir to combine
  3. Add your sweet potato and carrot yoghurt pouch to your dry mixture before adding your olive oil
  4. Mix everything with your hands (or get your little ones involved in this bit, they will love it!)
  5. Knead the dough for a minute before placing a napkin over the mixing bowl for 10 minutes to allow the dough to rest
  6. Divide your dough in half using a knife and lightly flour your kitchen surface
  7. Roll out your dough portions using a rolling pin before slicing into little squares using a pizza cutter
  8. Place your crackers on a lined baking sheet and place in your oven for 15 minutes ensuring you are rotating in the oven halfway through
  9. Allow your crackers to cool before eating and placing in an air tight container!
