Our paediatric dietitians' guide
"Serve in a bowl with a spoon. Preload spoons for your little one and let them have a go, embrace the mess!
Serving suggestions:
1. As a main meal mix into some cooked pasta shapes and serve with some soft, cooked carrot batons.
2. As a light lunch or tea option spread buttered wholegrain toast with a thin spread of smooth no added sugar or salt pumpkin seed butter and top with this pouch. Cut into fingers. Perfect for pre dipping into a homemade vegetable soup.
3. As a main meal serve with cooked potato, soft, cooked vegetable fingers and a finger of cooked meat/fish or plant-based protein."
The NHS advises starting weaning at 6 months, or when your little one shows signs of readiness.
Always contact a medical or healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns.
