"The warm days, sandy soils and the cool Atlantic breeze of southern Spain's Almonte region provides the perfect spot for our strawberries to slowly ripen to become naturally sweet and rich in flavour. The air in the fields around our family-run farm is not only filled with the scent of fragrant strawberries but also lavender, wheat and rosemary, which are planted throughout the farm to help keep fruit eating insects at bay."
How it's grown
While the climate of southern Spain's Almonte region is ideal for strawberry growing, it takes a lot more than that to produce the very best of these organic red gems. Strawberries are a sensitive bunch and only the most experienced farmers can grow them organically. Our farmers pick our strawberries at their prime every four days, rather than the usual seven, for a more consistent taste, full of flavour.
As well as being absolutely delicious, strawberries are high in Vitamin C, which is vital for your baby's immune system, and are a good source of fibre, which is important for digestive health.
